Not all wireless internet systems are the same although some customers of internet service may assume they are. For example, a wireless connection is not necessarily wireless internet. Rather, a traditional internet signal is fed through a router to create a short distance wireless signal. WiFi would be an actual service that is real wireless internet. This means signal will be relayed through a geographic area and customers of such an internet service will be able to pick it up. Those confused about what wireless internet really is should just read up on the subject since it is a simple concept to grasp.
